In its latest quarterly investor report, Take-Two Interactive reaffirmed that development of the next Grand Theft Auto game is “well underway.” While the statement mirrors earlier updates, it carries greater importance as the publisher also highlighted a lineup of several groundbreaking titles planned for its future release schedule.
Rockstar Games has now officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is targeting a 2026 release window, giving the studio extra time to polish and expand what is expected to be one of the most ambitious video games ever created.
Take-Two stated that its upcoming releases aim to set new creative and technical standards for the gaming industry while driving major growth in net bookings. Industry analysts widely believe that GTA 6 will be the company’s biggest revenue driver during this period.
Although other major projects such as Judas from BioShock creator Ken Levine are also in development, none are expected to match the global impact of GTA 6.
With development progressing steadily, Rockstar is expected to share more details about GTA 6’s gameplay, setting, characters, and online features closer to launch.
